  • Establishment of the Dow Jones Insight desk in Singapore, Media Analyst team leader in Barcelona and Singapore
  • Organisation and coordination of media analysis in cooperation with Media Consultants, Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Previously responsible for German and French “Editor’s choice” section in Dow Jones Factiva, and assisting in Factiva’s media provider relations and translations of the Marketing site.
  • Has contributed to German language newspapers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.

David Breg

Dave works with public relations and corporate communications officials in the US and advises them on the best ways to measure the volume and reach of their brand, as well as the key issues that impact their business.

Expertise and Previous Experience

  • Dave has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of public relations and research analysis.
  • Accredited by the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC).
  • Previously managed the US-based research unit for the public relations firm Burson-Marsteller.

Customer Focus: Matt works with PR and corporate communications professionals in the US, advising them on traditional and social media measurement strategy. He works together with client teams to set evaluation programs that measure and analyze their progress toward improving the reach of their brand and corporate messages within all forms of media.

Matt Donahue is a Media Consultant with Factiva Insight by Dow Jones. He has over nine years experience in the Public Relations sector, with a specialization in media analysis and media measurement for over four of those years. Matt came to Dow Jones in May 2007 after serving as a Director at CARMA International for over three years. Matt is Accredited by the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC). He has worked with diverse clients in several industry sectors providing media analysis solutions and strategies. The sectors he has worked in include the semiconductor industry, consumer electronics, telecommunications, automotive, pharmaceutical, financial services, and the chemical industry.

Matt holds a Bachelors degree in International Communication and German from American University in Washington DC.

Matt is also an avid cyclist, competing in the Mid-Atlantic region in the disciplines of mountain biking, road cycling, and cyclocross. He has been the president of the DC Mountain Bike team for two years. Matt also is the promoter and organizer of DCCX, Washington DC’s only cyclocross race, held annually in late October.




Damien DuPont

Damien’s focus is on research and writing bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly benchmark and executive reports for clients of Dow Jones Insight, providing analysis and insight that drives more effective communications strategies. He also provides quality assurance testing of concepts for Dow Jones Insight platforms to help ensure clients receive the coverage most relevant to their needs.

  • Damien has more than three years experience in the areas of Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Mass Media and Social Media Monitoring.
  • Previously, he was a contractor media consultant at Factiva and before that a researcher at CARMA International.

Glenn Fannick

Glenn is responsible for the development of the Dow Jones Insight media measurement solution as well as the taxonomy and metadata that helps power many of Dow Jones’s products. He and his team define products for PR and corporate communications users, design metadata approaches and spread the word about how to best use them.

Expertise and Previous Experience

  • Glenn has been focused on usability, information retrieval, searching, text mining and taxonomy-related issues over the past several years.
  • In his 15+ years with Dow Jones he also worked in Factiva's Content Department, where he led a group focused on classification and taxonomy.
  • In the years before the creation of Factiva, Glenn worked in the Editorial Department of Dow Jones where he had positions with the document classification team; writing, editing and producing online news coverage (for such products as Dow Jones Business Center on America Online); defining new search and Web products; and overseeing a team of classification specialists.
